Up-righting Tilted Gravestone
The applicant must be the 'Recognized Representative', i.e., the person holding the official receipt of the burial ground allocated to the deceased buried therein.
The Recognized Representative shall present the official receipt of the burial lot to the Cemetery Office to apply for the 'Work Permit'. After filling in the necessary details, the contractor appointed by the applicant for carrying out the related work shall submit the 'Work Permit' for approval by the Superintendent.
Demolition of existing grave and Erection of new grave
The applicant must be the 'Recognized Representative', i.e., the person holding the official receipt of the burial ground allocated to the deceased buried therein.

(the Cemetery Offices have supplies of the Box for Exhumed Human Remains at $1200 each. Other than this, the applicant may purchase their own container)
After the exhumation, the applicant have to pass the 'work permit' to the appointed contractor to submit for the Superintendent's approval of the gravestone works.
Applicants should select and appoint a contractor from the 'Catholic Cemeteries - List of Approved Gravestone Contractors' available at the Cemetery Office. The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong and the Catholic Cemeteries shall not be responsible nor held liable for the loss and damage to the contracting parties resulting from the said appointment.
In the course of gravestone works, should there be damages caused to the adjacent graves or any cemetery facilities, the applicant shall be held liable for full legal liabilities and any maintenance / repairing costs incurred. The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong and the Catholic Cemeteries shall not be responsible for any damages or compensation.
Renewal of Sealing Slab / Enamel photograph / Flower Vase for Niche
Renewal of Niche Sealing Slab
The applicant must be the 'Recognized Representative', i.e., the person holding the official receipt of the niche concerned allocated to the deceased buried therein.
The Recognized Representative shall present the official receipt of the niche concerned to the Cemetery Office to apply for the renewal of Sealing Slab for Niche and pay for the prescribed fees.

Niche sealing slab inscription re-painting
Please apply either in person or by phone.
After your enquiry, the contractor appointed by the Cemetery Office will inspect the niche sealing slab to see if the condition is suitable for re-painting. After notification by the Cemetery Office, please pay the prescribed fee at the Cemetery Office in person.
The entire process takes at least three months subject to the niche sealing slab and the weather condition.

Renewal of Enamel photograph for Niche
The applicant must be the 'Recognized Representative', i.e., the person holding the official receipt of the niche concerned allocated to the deceased buried therein.
The Recognized Representative shall present the official receipt of the niche concerned to the Cemetery Office to apply for the renewal of enamel photograph for Niche and pay for the prescribed fees.
The applicant has to bear the risk of damage to the existing sealing slab during the renewal process. In the event of such situation, the applicant shall be responsible for the replacement cost, the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong and Catholic Cemeteries shall not be held liable for any responsibility or compensation.

Flower Vase for Standard Niche
The applicant shall purchase the Flower Vase (for standard niches) supplied by the Cemetery Office which complies with the government requirements, costing at $150 each. You may choose to install it by yourself or let the Cemetery Office install later.
Installing flower vases or water containers not up to required standard may violate the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance, as such containers may accumulate water causing the breeding of mosquitoes.
In addition, other decorative fittings and statues are not allowed to be installed. Such items may fall and endanger safety of any person. The owner of such items will be pursued for the legal liabilities.
