B. If more than one party applies for the same niche, priorities will be given according to the date of death of the deceased to be first interred in a niche in Catholic Cemeteries.

C. After allocation of niche for the deceased, re-allocation within the same Cemetery is not allowed.

  • (a) this is a Family Niche for multiple extendable terms; extension of use is subject to the payment of fees after the initial term of 20 years and for every 10 years thereafter;

  • (c) Family Niche can accommodate Ashes or Exhumed Human Remains at the same time.

B. Applicants can apply for any non-allocated Family Niches in the designated batch until further notice. Please contact the Cemetery Office directly for the updated allocation status. In case of dispute, the Cemetery Office's decision in the allocation of all locations is final.

Relationship between the first interred and the deceased to be co-buried must be spouse, parents, grand-parents, great grand-parents; brother/sister or his/her spouse of the first interred, his/her spouse, or any of the persons aforementioned; descendant or his/her spouse of any of the persons aforementioned.

Applicant should provide the following original documents and information (copies not accepted), and complete a Burial Registration Form in the Cemetery Office at least five working days prior to burial.


When the hearse arrives at the cemetery on the burial date, please pay the prescribed fees and complete the procedures: 'Stamp on the Certificate of Registration of Death (Form 10) or the Certificate of Order Authorizing Burial of Body (Form 11) by the licensed undertaker' at the Cemetery Office. An official receipt and a work implementation sheet will be issued to the applicant. Please submit the work implementation sheet to the Appointed Contractor at the burial lot for burial services.

Co-Burial in Permanent Burial Lot, Permanent Urn Burial Lot, Exhumable Burial Lot (Multile Extendable Terms

A. The first interment must be in the Permanent Burial Lot, Permanent Urn Burial Lot, Exhumable Burial Lot(Multiple Extendable Lot).

B. Space permissible, multiple subsequent co-burials may be permitted after the first interment.

C. The deceased to be co-buried must either be a Catholic or a Catechumen by the Catholic Rite with 'Burial Permit in the Catholic Cemetery' issued by the related parish.

D. A. For co-burial of Human Remains (coffin burial), if the application is approved, the recognized representative must arrange for the Human Remains of the first interment to be exhumed, prior to the co-burial, and reburied in the same grave. For subsequent co-burials (coffin burial), the interment prior to the application of the co-burial must be exhumed and reburied in the same grave or be relocated or exported.

B. The applicant shall pay for the fees for grave demolition and concrete paving at least 14 days prior to exhumation of the Human Remains of the deceased and notify the Cemetery Office the date of exhumation (not including the dates of notification and exhumation).

C. Should there be adjustment of the fees, applicant shall pay for the fees prevailing at the time of application.

Angels' Garden

Conditions for keeping remains / cremated ashes of Foetus in Angels' Garden

(a) Angels' Garden is a communal place of rest in the Catholic Cemetery designated for keeping remains / cremated ashes of foetus less than 24 weeks after conception. 


(b) No specific lot would be allocated to each individual set of foetal remains / cremated ashes. Any location within the Angels' Garden will be subject to reuse for keeping other remains / cremated ashes of foetus in the future.


(c)Any container used in keeping the foetal remains / cremated ashes should be made of organic and decomposable material. Metal, stone, plastic or other non-decomposable materials is not allowed. Size of the container should not be more than 230 mm (length) x 110 mm (width) x 110 mm (height). 

(Cremated ashes should be contained in biodegradable paper container.)


(d) As the foetal remains / cremated ashes returns to nature, they will rest in the Angels' Garden for good.


(e) There will not be any provision of marker stone for individual set of foetal remains / cremated ashes. However, the name of the foetus can be displayed on a memorial wall at the Angels' Garden upon application.


(f) The use of Angels' Garden shall be governed by the Rules of Catholic Cemeteries and subject to chargeable fees as prescribed by the Diocesan Board of the Catholic Cemeteries and approved by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department from time to time. I fully acknowledge and understand all the conditions above and agree to abide by them.

A. The deceased must either be a Catholic or a Catechumen by the Catholic Rite with 'Burial Permit in the Catholic Cemetery' issued by the related parish. 

B. Burial lots for cremated ashes in the Garden of Remembrance is sub-divided from a coffin burial into 18 lots, the length and width of each measures 300x 300mm.

The following original documents (copies not accepted), Ashes and prescribed fees have to be provided at time of applying for burial of ashes. 


Alternatives for burial of ashes in the Garden of Remembrance:


(1) The applicant may authorize the Cemetery Office to bury the Ashes and install the name plate in his/her absence by the appointed contractor. 

OR
(2) The Cemetery Office would fix a date for the burial process (within 5-8 weeks upon approval of application) with the applicant should he/she choose to attend in person. On the appointed date, the applicant should present the work implementation sheet issued by the Cemetery Office and reclaim the Ashes for burial in the Garden of Remembrance and installation of name plate by the appointed contractor.
