Diocesan Board of Catholic Cemeteries
- To provide sufficient interment and body remains disposal facilities that include but not limited to burial lots, ossuarium, wall niches and columbarium to members of the Catholic Church in Hong Kong by formulating fair and equitable policies, plans and rules;
- To strategize and plan accordingly for the development of existing and new cemeteries and columbarium and to supervise their implementation;
- To oversee the operation and management of all Catholic Cemeteries in Hong Kong and ensure that the cemetery offices offer quality and effective services according to approved policies and rules;
- To work closely with the Procuration Office of the Diocese in maintaining financially sound cemeteries with proper deployment of human resources; and
- To educate and to promote, in conjunction with other diocesan establishments, the laity on the catholic faith about death and eternal life and on value of life through seminars, publications and guided tours at selected Catholic Cemeteries.
